The family behind “Riding
With Angels”

Riding with Angels is a not for profit organization
that provides support and assistance for families that has lost a loved one in a
motorcycle fatality. Riding with Angels was birthed out of the tragedy of my
son, Nelson Slone’s, death of a motorcycle accident January 1st, 2005.
While tragedies can sometimes tear lives apart, I have
found this time of my life to be a time of new birth, and a time to reach out to
others in their hour of need. I have found that the compassion and generosity of
others during a moment of grief can be most healing.
Statistics show over 600,900 riders in Florida alone. Of these, statistics show
a death rate of 49.5 deaths per 10,000 registered motorcycles. Many of these
bikers do not have life insurance. Because of these and similar statistics
throughout our country, Riding with Angels purposes to come alongside families
during their time of financial need, and to help guide them through this expense
laden period when they find themselves with no visible means of the extra
support they need.
Riding with Angels is funded solely by sponsors, donations, and proceeds from
our events.
Riding with Angels was founded and incorporated in July of 2009 by our Founder,
Rosemary Smith. Since the founding, the I.R.S. has determined Riding with
Angels, Inc. as a Non-Profit Organization, 501 (c) (3). So all donations may be
considered a Tax Deduction (please consult your tax advisor)
"We want to be 1st responders, the ones who can
hold the families hands and say I have been through this, I know how you feel
right now. But most importantly, this is what we need to take care of first,
right now!"
I have to remind you all that we must continue to ask for financial support.
It's the hardest thing for us. BUT financial support for the families that lost
a love one in a Motorcycle accident is what we are about. We have made so many
personal and financial sacrifices ourselves.

We are always in need of merchandise and promotional
collateral to giveaway at our events. Quite simply, if you help us, we will do
everything possible to promote your product or service to our over 10,000
supporters.
We are looking for sponsors for our 2nd battle bike. We want each bike to be
better than the last. We will need many parts, and a special person to make this
happen. Custom wheels, seat, engine, paint, and all the parts need to come
together.
Awareness rides to introduce ourselves to motorcycles
shops and locations have begun and everyone is welcome to ride with us.
